NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego
County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the
“DISTRICT” will receive up to, but no later than 10:00 A.M. on August 23, 2016 sealed Bid
No. 1516-2014R-4, for the award of a contract for the Math, Science & Engineering
Building for the following bid packages:
09 – Glass and Glazing
13 – Flooring
26 – Final Cleaning
Bids shall be addressed to Mark Claussen, Proposition R Program Manager Building 1688
located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, CA 91910, and shall be opened in a location to
be announced at the bid submission on the date and at the time listed above.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions
Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300, and shall be licensed in the
following classification as required by the scope of work required in the above called out bid
*09 – Glass and Glazing. License C17, Estimated Value $1,943,988
11 – Ceramic Tile. License C54, Estimated Value $195,785
13 – Floorings. License C15, Estimated Value $427,642
26 – Final Cleaning. Licenses B or D63, Estimated Value $87,308

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Southwestern Community College,
Parking Lot “L” in the Rudolph and Sletten jobsite trailer located at 900 Otay Lakes Road,
Chula Vista, CA 91910 on the following date and time: Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00
Prospective bidders MAY NOT re-visit the Project Site without making arrangements through
the Construction Manager (Rudolph and Sletten – Cade McMullin, Sr. Project Manager). The
District WILL NOT accept bids from any bidder who did not attend the Pre-Bid Conference.
All questions concerning this bid should be sent to Matt Chadwick at
firstname.lastname@example.org. All questions to be submitted on Exhibit 2G – Pre-Bid
Document Clarification (PBDC) form. The final day for questions shall be August 12, 2016 no
later than 2 p.m.
